Academics
Our students are committed to academic excellence, with over half of our members having a 3.5 GPA or higher. At the end each semester our office posts a community grade report, which includes GPAs for each chapter, the All FSL Average GPA, the All Campus Undergraduates Average GPA, and chapter rankings within their council.
Chapters can request their individual chapter grade reports by emailing the office.
Grade Archives
The Office of the Registrar publishes reports on undergraduate grade-point averages and course grade-distributions twice annually, in early February and mid-July.
Accessibility
FSL is committed in creating an accessible and inclusive experience for everyone, so that all students can engage, explore, and participate in fraternity and sorority life. We encourage students to continuously learn how to create a more inclusive environment and for students to utilize campus resources to have a fulfilling experience not only in fraternity and sorority life, but in all campus endeavors.
FSL created an accessibility guide to provide our students guidance when planning events, and creating digital media.
McBurney Disability Resource Center
The McBurney Disability Resource Center is an office within Student Affairs that partners with students, faculty, and staff to design accessible environments and provides academic accommodations.
Office of Compliance
The Office of Compliance advances compliance with applicable laws and policies at UW-Madison. They collaborate with University partners to minimize compliance risk and promote ethical conduct throughout the University.
Accountability
Hazing
Hazing has no place in joining a fraternity/sorority and if you ever have concerns about something you or your student is asked to do as part of their membership, please reach out to the FSL team or the Conduct office. We also encourage you to report the incident, which can be done anonymously.
Misconduct
Unfortunately, there are times when members act outside of their personal and organizational values. There are several reporting options and systems of accountability in place to amend those actions. You can always report any form of misconduct. If behavior goes against governing councils or chapters’ policies we recommend reporting these incidents through the council’s accountability system.
Campus Accountability Resources
Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards
The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards works with students to resolve academic and nonacademic disciplinary matters. This includes receiving reports of alleged misconduct, ensuring that students receive due process and fair treatment throughout the hearing process.
Office of Student Assistance and Support
The Office of Student Assistance and Support is the primary resource for connecting students who are navigating personal, academic, or health issues, to supportive campus and community resources. They also serve as a central location for reporting issues of hate and bias, sexual assault, and hazing.
UW–Madison Police Department
The UW-Madison Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus in Madison, WI.
Organizations not in Good Standing
Lists organizations that are: terminated, suspended, on probation, and disassociated from the University.
